US Presidential Elections 2008 – A 10 seconds prediction. PDF Print E-mail

Namaskar,

Looking at the US independence chart and at the annual TP chart for 2008, I predict yet another close/controversial election. The annual TP chart has Virgo lagna. The 10th house in Gemini represents the current administration, and its lord Mercury (also lagna lord) is in Taurus the 12th there from. The 3rd lord Mars, representing the opposition, is in the 12th house in the annual chart. Mercury is in the 6th house from natal lagna, indicating a problematic year. Ironically, Mercury and Mars are eternal enemies, but neither one of them is looking good so far; both of them receive a freezing glance from Saturn in the 12th conjunct Mars. By November 4, both planets will be in the 2nd house of the annual TP chart conjunct with a debilitated Sun in Libra. So what does this all mean; it means that the people find themselves looking at the current administration trying to look good in the end and wishing they were gone (Mercury in 12th from 10th house) and at the same time wishing for liberation through their choice for the opposition (Mars in the 12th house). The debilitated Sun on Election Day indicates that the entire nation is tired of the problems this year has brought so far. Mars will move aggressively towards the 5th house trying to assure a wining position, but Mercury is a faster moving planet. By inauguration day, Mercury, Sun, Rahu, and debilitated Jupiter will be restricted in Capricorn, but Mars will be very active in Sagittarius getting ready to be exalted sometime in late January when it moves to Capricorn. The people will celebrate.

Dear Robert, Namaskar.

Wonderful short writeup. I agree with your view of the chart, especially the debilitated Sun in the tenth
speaks highly of the reputation of the current administration. Saturn is the fifth lord in the chart and
shows the voters of the country, and that they are going through tough saturnian-times and especially
financially. I think they will vote for the opposition (democrats) as third (voters) and fifth (voters)
lords are joined. The same blessing came to Al Gore where he got most of the votes back in 2000, but back
then there was also a pravrajya yoga which took away all Gores opportunities.

Keep up the good work. Do you think the ascendant of our upcoming president can be seen from the Arudha of
the third house here?

Yours sincerely,

Visti Larsen

Dear Visti, Namaskar

Thank you for your support on this prediction. I like your perspective on Saturn and Saturnian-times for
this nation.

Several things can be seen from the Arudha of the 3rd house, particularly certain actions taken by the
native, such as what subject the native prefers to write about. I am curious; could you please shed some
light on how to see the ascendant from A3?

Best wishes,

Robert Dotel

Namaskaram Robert,

Arudha of the third house is in this case in Aquarius, and if the opposition is seen from the third house,
then the ascendant of the oppositions leader is seen from the A3 itself. So A3 is in Aquarius and the
democratic candidate can have either Aquarius, Libra, Gemini or Leo Lagna. Capricorn is one choice thou as
Rahu (lord of aquarius) is in Capricorn.

Guess what, they recently decided on Obama being the candidate and his ascendant is Libra, fitting the
above.

Visti, Namaskar

Your insight on A3 is very interesting. Now that we have a candidate I will look at his annual chart to see
if it supports my prediction.

Best wishes,

Robert Dotel
